Temporary Closure – Two Levels of the Waterfront Parking Garage

Effective Thursday December 11, 2014

Due to the predicted severe weather, the City of Vallejo announced that due to flooding and high wind concerns, portions of the Vallejo Station Parking Structure will be closed to the public effective midnight Thursday, December 11. Guests will not be able to park on the lowest level of the parking structure (P1) or on the top level that can be accessed by Santa Clara Street. The middle level of the parking structure and surrounding surface lots will remain open for commuters.

PRESS RELEASE: Mad Hatter Holiday Festival Community Shuttle and Free Local Rides

Mad Hatter Free Shuttle and Local Rides

Benicia & Vallejo, CA – On Saturday, December 6, 2014 SolTrans (Solano County Transit) is providing the following to support the Mad Hatter Holiday Festival:


  1. Mad Hatter Holiday Festival ShuttleA FREE Community shuttle will operate between downtown Vallejo and Wonderland Park every 15 minutes allowing passengers to board and alight at designated stops.  The first shuttle will leave the Vallejo Transit Center (VTC) at 1:45 p.m. to travel to Wonderland Park at Glen Street.  The last shuttle trip from the VTC will be at 8:15 p.m.  There will be no service between 4:54 p.m. and 5:29 p.m.  (See the attached Route Map and Schedule for details.)


The Community shuttle will provide passengers with easy access to the different venues of the Mad Hatter Holiday Festival.  The destinations will include the festivities at Unity Plaza, the Hatter’s Tea with Teddy at the Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum, and Wonderland Park.


  1. Free Rides on Local Fixed Route BusesSolTrans is offering FREE rides on local bus routes in order to maximize access to the Mad Hatter Holiday Festival.  Additionally, this service will extend later into the evening ending at 8:30 p.m.  This free service will only be offered between 12:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2014.  The free rides are not valid on Solano Express routes 76, 78, 80, and 85.

Ride Local and Save From December 21 through 31, 2014

Throughout the week of the Christmas holiday and New Year’s Eve SolTrans will offer reduced local cash fares (one-trip) and reduced local Day Passes from December 21st through 31st, 2014 on all local fixed-route buses.

  • Local Cash fares – $0.25. 
  • Local Day Passes – $1.00
  • The day passes are only available for purchase on-board  local buses.

**Please note that the reduced fares are not available for Solano Express Multi-Zone routes.**
