* Last Shuttle Service on Sunday                                               PM TIMES IN BOLD

The Community Shuttle bus will take passengers to historic destinations such as the Mare Island Museum, St. Peter’s Chapel and the Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum. Individuals could also appreciate the arts by bus, which will go by the Coal Shed Studios on Mare Island, the Empress Theatre, and the downtown arts district. In fact, volunteers will be on the buses departing the Ferry Building bus stop on Mare Island Way to provide a special overview of the sites along the way. Additionally, this service will provide easy access to the festivities along the waterfront, at the JFK Library, and in downtown Vallejo such as the Farmer’s Market and the Classic Car Show. Residents of Mare Island are especially encouraged to take the community shuttle to the festivities to avoid any parking and traffic hassles.

In July 2015, the SolTrans Board approved the service improvements for November 2015 pending public comment. We need your help to design our new SolanoExpress Regional service. Tell us where you want to go and when you want to go.

Service options with the most votes will be implemented on November 22, 2015.

These service improvements concentrate on our SolanoExpress Routes 78, 80s, and 80. Please see the Service Improvements Table below:

Route

Service Improvements

Route 78/80s Sunday

Convert existing Sunday Route 80s service to Route 78.  Adjust schedule to provide more consistent service similar to Saturday Route 78. Stops and timing based on riders feedback.

Route 78 Weekday

Expand weekday mid-day service to hourly and extend evening service until 9:15 pm. Add additional stops to Sunvalley Mall and Diablo Valley College based on rider feedback.

Route 80 Sunday

Reinstate Sunday service on “regular” Route 80.  Half-hourly from 7:30am to 8:30pm between VTC and El Cerrito del Norte BART station.proposed Route 80 Sunday Service

Route 80 Weekday/weekend

Add service to Sereno Transit Center during PM trips after local services have ended.  Proposed Route 80 Weekday/Weekend PM stops at Sereno Transit Center
