Service Alert: Route 2 Temporary Detour

UPDATE:  As of 1:00 pm, the Route 2 has resumed it’s scheduled route.

Effective Monday, December 4, 2017

Due to unforeseen CalTrans roadwork, the I-37 Eastbound Columbus Parkway exit has been closed and the Route 2 Northbound will temporarily detour until further notice, please expect delays and plan ahead accordingly.

Service Alert: Temporary Detours Routes 1, 2, 4, 6 and 7

Temporary Detour: Routes 1 & 7

Temporary Detour: Routes 2, 4 & 6

Due to the Mad Hatter Festival and Parade, Routes 1, 2, 4, 6 and 7 will detour temporarily. The following bus stops will not be served:

Route 1

  • Georgia St & Sonoma Blvd (STOP ID MR821002)

Routes 2 and 6

  • Sacramento St & Virginia St (STOP ID MR821032)
  • Sacramento St & Virginia St (STOP ID MR821037)

Please use the Vallejo Transit Center instead of the above stops.

Route 4

  • Butte St & Florida St (STOP ID MR821063)
  • Carolina St & Branciforte (STOP ID MR821064)

Please use Florida St & Santa Clara (MR821061) instead.

Regular service is scheduled to resume on Sunday, December 3, 2017.

Rider Alert: Route 80/82 SB Detour, Expect Delays


Due to an earlier car accident on westbound I-80 west of Solano Ave, all westbound I-80 lanes were closed. They have reopened, however there is still severe traffic. Route 80/82 Southbound will temporarily detour, please expect delays.

Please check the schedules when planning your trips, as changes in time points may affect your connections. Service changes for the following routes will go into effect:

Route 78 

The Route 78 outbound departure from Vallejo Transit Center at 7:00 pm will now depart at 7:05 pm to reflect actual run time and better connect with BART, arriving at Pleasant Hill BART at 7:43 pm and Walnut Creek BART at 7:53 pm.

Route 80/82

Route 80’s last Sunday night inbound trip, departing El Cerrito Del Norte BART at 8:00 pm, will no longer serve the Sereno Transit Center. The last Route 80 stop on Sunday will be at the Vallejo Transit Center at 8:25 pm. Route 80 inbound on Sunday will serve the Sereno Transit Center only on the 7:32 pm departure from El Cerrito Del Norte BART arriving at Sereno Transit Center at 8:09 pm.

Route 9

The demonstration Route 9 to Mare Island will discontinue after service on Friday, November 17th, 2017. SolTrans staff and the Mare Island stakeholders are currently researching ways to provide transportation onto and around Mare Island.  We will post more information as it becomes available.

Service Alert: Route 2 Temporary Detour

Due to a house fire on Sacramento Street, Route 2 will temporarily detour.  Stops along Sacramento between Valle Vista and Sonoma to Tennessee Street will not be served until further notice as follows:

Southbound buses will miss the following stops:

  • Valle Vista/Sonoma
  • Sacramento/Valle Vista
  • Sacramento/Denio
  • Sacramento/Hichborn
  • Sacramento NS Tennessee

Buses will make courtesy stops on Sonoma Blvd. on the north side of Valle Vista Street, (in front of Les Schwab), and Sacramento Street on the far side of Tennessee (in front of Vet Hospital parking lot) to accommodate customers.

Northbound buses will miss the following stops:

  • Sacramento/Indiana
  • Sacramento/Mississippi
  • Sacramento very NS Valle Vista
  • Valle Vista FS Sacramento
  • Valle Vista NS Sonoma

Buses will make courtesy stops on Sonoma Blvd. on the far side of Valle Vista Street, (in front of Sonoma Auto Collision) to accommodate customers.

SolTrans – Impact of Northern California Fires

SolTrans would like to make sure that all riders and members of the communities it serves are safe and well informed. At this time, with the exception of the weekday school routes (Routes 15, 17 and 38), SolTrans is running as regularly scheduled. SolTrans will provide notice to the public through its website and social media in the event of any changes.

SolTrans is working with other public transit agencies, local government agencies, local law enforcement and community leaders to be a resource as needed. SolTrans is committed to providing continued, safe and reliable transportation services, and is ready to provide emergency response to the Northern California fires if conditions worsen.

Solano County Transit (SolTrans) has been the public transportation provider for south Solano County since July 2011. SolTrans provides local and regional fixed routes, complementary paratransit, dial-a-ride service, and subsidized taxi programs. The agency is a Joint Powers Authority (JPA) that is governed by a six-member Board of Directors, composed of two representatives from the cities of Benicia and Vallejo, Solano County’s representative on the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), and a representative from the Solano Transportation Authority.
